Making Time for Fantasies to Come True

This quote is an example of the romance we read in books and watch in movies. We long to have someone to say THIS to US!

So then, why do we let time get in the way of romance, lovemaking, and our erotic journeys? Amongst my friends, I hear:

- I do not have time to date.

- She is wasting my time.

- It was time for him to ask me to marry. I’m not waiting any longer. I broke up.

And then, the final blow- that, Toni, is something from the movies and not REAL life! In real life, we have bills to pay, children to bathe, and places to go!

Or, do we?

I must have heard this a thousand times over this COVID timeout… where focus goes, energy flows. Again, again, and again. It is true, though. What we focus on (and make time for) is where all our energy goes. Our actions give us away and show the world what is most important in our life.

Let’s do an audit. On a scrap piece of paper, reflect on everything you did this week. Count the hours or minutes each activity consumes.

• What do you spend the most time doing?
• Is love and romance in your top few activities that you do? 
• If not, why not?
• How important is your relationship to you?

If a perfectly romantic relationship suddenly appeared, how much time would you give it? Can you put your phone down long enough to enjoy the company of your dreamboat?

But, I’m single, you say! Well, how much effort have you put into being the Juliet for your future, Romeo? What might that relationship look like? And, what activities would you engage in if you were preparing for that fated afternoon where your eyes lock with ….. the one?

We spend our lives dreaming of meeting that special one. Whether that fated meeting in your dreams ends in a romantic walk on the beach or having the hottest sex of your life, have you made the space for this person to arrive in your life?

I will admit that my blog this week has had more questions than answers. Hopefully, I have asked at least one important question to encourage you to act now to create the time to meet that special one …. to spend quality time with the special one you already have ….. and, of course, live happily after. I know fantasies can be realities. I know, because I’ve done it. I also know that you need to not only believe, but you have to take deliberate actions to create the space for magic to happen.
